  1. I have an increasing amount of bookings coming in via HomeToGo. There used to be a link (sync of calendar + prices + descriptions etc.) with them, but this is no longer the case.
    I would like to see this coming back as now there is a lot of manual input necessary to make sure I have all bookings in once place (Hostfully) and have my messages and triggers automated.

    We're no longer supporting an integration with HomeToGo, so this isn't something we can offer going forward.


    That said, we continuously expand and update our list of integration partners and channels to provide strong distribution opportunities, and we'll keep sharing relevant updates as they become available.

  2. For example, a PM configured a custom fee named "Tourism Fee" in the Fees, Taxes, and Policies tab from Hostfully and mapped it to channels (Airbnb/ BDC, Vrbo, etc.). It would be more clear and synchronise if on channels, the fee also reflects as "Tourism Fee" and not as its mapping type.

    This will have to be done by Whinstay, they implement the Hostfully API and the multi-unit API has been available for this to be implemented from their end.

  4. We want to import Airbnb reviews to Vrbo. I spoke with the VRBO market manager and they said some platforms have that feature.

    This suggestion is actually against Airbnb's Terms of Service, so we will not be able to implement it, unless their policies change in the future. For now, we have to decline this. Thank you for suggesting.

    Airbnb's API does not provide this capability the way Vrbo does.

    This is rather communicated via the house_rules metadata in the API.

    • While there's no dedicated minimum_age parameter, the minimum age is often parsed from:
    • house_rules (free-text field)
    • description or other_things_to_note
    Enforcement
    • Airbnb expects hosts to manually enforce minimum age by reviewing guest profiles and messaging.
    • Airbnb does not block bookings automatically based on age unless the guest is under 18 (which is not allowed platform-wide).
  6. Allow to change checkout date for reservations with payment by Booking.com. If guest wants to extend the checkout date, looks like they have to request it on Booking.com before checkin date but it's not usually the case.

    However, the action to change checkout date in Hostfully does not work with Payment by Booking.com reservations causing it's hard for us to extend guest stay.

    Additionally, the option to change stay date is blocked on Booking.com Extranet so we cannot modify it neither from Hostfully nor Booking.com

    Booking.com reservations with Payments by Bcom (PBB) follow a different process compared to non-PBB reservations.

    Unfortunately, their system is currently not allowing partners to update PBB reservations via the partner system (Hostfully PMP). That is a limitation on their end, for which we already shared feedback with them.


    I hope the article can give you more insights in the current process from Booking.com, but it's expected that the guest has to request a day change via the extranet if they want to extend or shorten their PBB booking.

    Unfortunately, as of today, Booking.com does not provide an API to allow us to send # of guest alterations from the platform.

  13. When a booking comes via Rentals United, details do not reflect the actual booking source or correct price - default Hostfully calendar prices are inserted, requiring manual overwriting and potentially confusing the owner. Can you make the numbers and source sync accurately?

  14. It is confusing that the Toggle All button goes back to, or stays at Off, even after you click on it to Toggle all to on. Can it just stay at on if all are on?

  15. like I said, I understand that. But whoever at Hostfully negotiates with Airbnb, if they could ask for that to change, that would make a difference in being able to book these Airbnb referrals. It doesn’t do us any good to know after the fact when the customers are questioning their total fees before booking and we have no idea what those are. I hope that makes sense to you now.

Since signing up with Hostfully, VRBO will not give us the services they used to, such as: handling occupancy tax and filings, collecting rental payments, and refunding deposits, 24/7 customer service, etc. This is creating a lot more work for us. We signed up for Hostfully to make things easier for us. Now we have to decide whether to drop Hostfully or drop VRBO.

    Can you work with VRBO to have them give us the same services we had before we sign up with a channel manager? Airbnb gives us the same service why can’t VRBO?
