1. Apply Discounts & Promotions to RENT section of the inquiry

   The purpose of a Property Management Software is to support dynamic pricing, flexibility, and conversion—especially for direct bookings. A major gap right now is where and when discounts can be applied.

   Direct-book guests don’t always use promo codes, and many inquiries come through our website specifically so we can interact, quote strategically, and close the sale. Sometimes that means offering a custom discount based on dates, length of stay, or guest budget after the inquiry is submitted.

   Currently:

   Promo codes only reduce Rent (pre-tax) if the guest knows and applies them at the time of inquiry.

   If a promo code is not applied, there is no way to later apply a discount to Rent on that inquiry.

   The only workaround is adding a discount under Fees, which does not reduce taxable Rent, resulting in higher taxes.

   Order adjustments/refunds occur after taxes, creating unnecessary tax exposure and accounting friction.

   Visibility matters just as much as tax treatment.
   Lowering the Rent rate directly (without a visible discount line) makes it appear as though no discount was given. This often triggers guests to negotiate further or request additional discounts—despite already receiving one.

   Being able to apply a Rent-level discount that is clearly shown in the quote and emailed to the guest:

   Provides full transparency

   Sets clear pricing expectations

   Reduces follow-up discount requests

   Reinforces perceived value without eroding trust

   Why this matters (real example):

   Inquiry Rent: $10,000

   Tax @ 12%: $1,200

   Discounted Rent should be: $8,000

   Correct tax should be: $960

   Difference: $240

   That $240 could be redirected toward upsells (e.g., 8 days of pool & spa heat at $30/day) instead of being lost to unnecessary tax.

   Current options don’t fully solve this:

   Price Rules reduce Rent pre-tax but apply globally and automatically—not ideal for selective or situational discounts.

   Promo codes depend on guest awareness and correct usage.

   Fee-based discounts and post-tax refunds increase taxes and reduce pricing clarity.

   Request / Recommendation:
   Allow hosts to apply manual, visible Rent-level discounts (pre-tax) to:

   Inquiries

   Quotes

   Existing orders (prior to final payment)

   This would:

   Reduce overpaid taxes

   Improve direct-booking conversion

   Maintain pricing transparency in emailed quotes

   Minimize discount fatigue and margin erosion

   Increase upsell opportunities rather than losing sales

   This isn’t about discounting more, it’s about discounting correctly, transparently, and efficiently.

5. Support charging pet fees on Booking.com using their “value add” rates

   Booking.com now supports automatically adding a nightly additional amount for guests with pets. They do this using “value add” rates. I’d like to be able to create this pet rate, but my connection to Hostfully is preventing me from doing so. Please fix this issue so that I can seamlessly charge Booking.com guests extra for their pets.

7. Add Integration/Trigger for Airbnb Guest Reviews (Content + Ratings)

   I want to automatically record incoming Airbnb guest reviews (both review content and star ratings) and log this data into an Excel spreadsheet.

   I'm using Zapier but the only available trigger option in Zapier is for bookings. There is currently no available trigger or API event in Zapier (or elsewhere) related to Airbnb guest reviews.

   PropertyStack AI is becoming a widely used automation tool for Australian STR agencies that operate under real-estate trust-account legislation. It streamlines daily workflows, documentation, compliance checks, communication trails and operational admin that sit alongside trust-account processes.

   A direct integration with Hostfully would reduce manual double-handling, strengthen data consistency and support agencies that need high-efficiency systems while meeting strict regulatory requirements. 9. OTA+ Integration Request - Australian Trust Accounting Compliance

   Please add OTA+ as an integration. OTA+ is fully compliant with trust-accounting regulations in every Australian state including the strict requirements for Queensland real-estate licensees managing short-term rentals.

   More and more Australian agencies are required to operate through true trust accounts and OTA+ already provides compliant receipting, reconciliation, audit trails and disbursement workflows. Integrating OTA+ with Hostfully would remove double-data handling, reduce compliance risk and make Hostfully far more attractive to licensed agencies scaling their portfolios.

10. hopper

    ’m curious if anyone here has worked with Hopper Homes yet? (https://hopper.com/travel/homes) Their travel app is huge with younger travelers and seems to drive a ton of bookings. It would be amazing if Hostfully could eventually integrate with them — feels like a great extra channel for all of us to tap into.

15. Request for Room Mapping for Vrasio too

    Hi Hostfully API team!
    We VRASIO have just joined the Hostfully ecosystem as an OTA.
    I understand room mapping is available for Airbnb, but not for Vrasio or others.

    We don’t understand the logic behind it. Why don’t we make it available to Vrasio too, since we have that feature embedded inside our platform too.
    The PMs would appreciate your support because it would save him time for not mapping rooms manually inside our platform. At least Select Stays expressed that desire to my attention. Thanks!
