  1. I just onboarded with Hostfully and was very surprised that after a guest books the second payment is not automatically collected when due. I have been with two other PMPs and this was standard in both of them. In both of those systems the credit card used for their payment is stored and used for the second payment when due.
We collect 50% at booking, 50% is due 60 days prior to arrival. We always had a triggered message 10 days before the due date reminding the guest that their balance would automatically be charged on XX date (60 days…

Dear Carole. Thank you for your feedback.

The Hostfully PMP does automatically collect balance payments. It should work in all cases as long as you use Stripe as your payment processor, unless the guest credit card is rejected by Stripe (which is rare).

I'll close this item for now but please feel free to reach our to our customer service team if you need help setting things up.

  2. There is no difference in figuring out if its an inquiriy or booking, as both of them are populating in the UI Dashboard. It says we have to go to pipeline to check, but it should more straightforward to let us know at the Dashboard itself if it is a booking or inquiry. Probably have a separate tab from inquiry and booking, so it doesnt get confusing. People can get excited thinking its booking but ends up being just an inquiry. Thank you. Hopefully this is implemented.

This already exists on the Dashboard, it probably just need to be clarified. As you see on the attached screenshot, you have 3 different types of notifications here:

    • the 1st one is a booking: you see this is a booking because it has a large green check mark on top of the property image
    • the 2nd one is an inquiry
    • the 3rd one is a booking request: which means that the guest already provided their payment info, are ready to book, and just waiting for your confirmation (which is why you see the "Pending" button.

    Hope this helps.

  3. We have a widget for our website so guests can put in their dates and can automatically book or get a quote. Once you put in your dates the widget calculates the total and it will say "$850 total for 4 nights" for instance. This total includes the security deposit which skus what the guest believes the nightly rate costs and other fees. I think ti would be helpful to either have the break down open up instead of just to the total. OR say the total and say + security deposit. For example "$350 total for 4 nights plus…

  4. It seems we cannot enter refund or cancellation Vacation Rent Payment payments in Hostfully. I think it important to see at a glance all the payments and refunds together in the Hostfully portfolio.

We cant enter the transaction manually either. At a minimum we should be able to enter the refund into Hostfully.

  5. Ability to see rent broken down by property for a specific time period based on days stayed at property during that time period. This report would be useful for allowing users improved financial accounting/reporting as well as reporting to tax agencies.

Example: Property A is booked for 3 months and checks in on October 31st. Today, there is no accrual revenue report that breaks that revenue out throughout November, December and January.

  6. We often get repeat customers or customers who have cancelled and now wish to rebook. We would like to be able to Re-Book them for new dates so we don't have to re-enter their information (emails, phone numbers etc) each time. At present when you select rebook it automatically rebooks them for dates that have already past. Very frustrating

  7. At the moment, Hostfully does not require the "Rental Agreement" to be signed until the final payment has been made, but this can be many months after a guest books. We require payment of 50% at the point of booking. We require the final payment 30 days prior to check-in. The rental agreement includes rules and stipulations about the booking (hence a rental agreement). The problem is that we do not have a rental agreement until they pay the final portion. The "rental agreement" should be signed at the point of booking. Not later on. This is basic hotelier procedure…

  9. We'd like the ability to use a custom subdomain for the checkout and pre-arrival form pages, as well as any other guest facing interactions. This functionality already exists in the guidebooks.

In a perfect world, the guest would never be aware that they have been transferred to a site run by Hostfully.

  10. It's currently possible to restrict check check in to certain days of the week. We need the same functionality for check outs.

  12. Service Providers need to be able to see the Stay Details page - this is where we add important notes about the customer's upcoming stay - altered check-in/check-out times, need a baby cot, sofa bed made up, VIP, accessibility needs.

  13. At present, a reservation must be assigned to a single agent, however, any organization with more than a few vacation rentals likely has at least two employees who need to interact with guests and manipulate reservations.

The ability for multiple agents to log in and work on reservations is pretty critical to the scalability of the platform, especially if a history/change log were addd to the UI.

  14. It would save so much time and energy if it were mandatory for guests to submit their identification along with their payment when booking directly. This could help screen out under age bookings, help host make sure the booking guest is who they say they are and also give host peace of mind that if there was an issue we can show identification if there was a problem at the property! this would SAVE SO MUCH TIME AND ENERGY!!!!!!

  15. Right now, when there's a message in the inbox, you cannot click on the guest's name to pull up the reservation details. It is super time consuming to have to then go to the pipeline, find the reservation and then look it up.

  18. I want to be able to make the calendar widget a different color to match my website. This is provided on the booking widget and seems like it should be available on the calendar widget as well. Or simply add the directions on adding code to change the colors.

  19. For properties that have a Request to Book, there needs to be an event in the triggers to send an auto email to the guest. For Airbnb, not sure on other channels, but when a guest tries to book but does not meet requirements, they can submit a Request to Book. Right after they submit the request to book, we'd like to be able to send the guest an email or Airbnb message saying that once they verify their ID with airbnb, then they can be approved to book. This is a function that Hospitable has with triggers for New…

  20. When setting up property settings, it is helpful to show the property name at the top of each of the tabs. It is now showing for all of the tabs, except for Fees & Policies, which seems to be one of the most helpful tabs to have it displayed on.

Hello and thank you for the suggestion. When you are editing the property settings, you should see the property name and the page title on every tab, including the Fees and Policies.
