We’re excited to let you know that this feature is now ready for a beta phase, and we’d love to invite interested customers to participate.
What’s new?
When enrolled in the beta, reservation balance payments will be automatically charged via Stripe for:
- Vrbo reservations
- Booking.com reservations
How the flow works
- A guest books on Vrbo or Booking.com
- The guest pays the deposit on the channel platform (or, in the case of a 0% deposit, provides their credit card details without an initial charge)
- When the balance is due, Hostfully will automatically charge the remaining amount via Stripe
- If the automatic charge fails (e.g. insufficient funds, expired card, etc.), we will fall back to the existing flow and send the usual balance due payment request to the…

Allow to override the initial down payment on a per reservation basis.
When manually creating a reservation, add ability to specify a different down payment then the default. The use case is to use when making a longer than usual reservation and offering the repeat guest a lower initial down payment....such as offering 20% and the rest 80% 50 days before check-in.

I believe Hostfully should implement a toggle for owner payouts. Default is payout on beginning of stay. WE need it to be after stay ends!!!
Currently Hostfully has owner payout default reports set to when booking is booked. I believe it should be due changed or at least have a toggle switch to enable payouts to be calculated at check out date. Currently I have a booking on the last day of the month and lasts 10 days. Hostfully has me paying my owner on "Check in Date" and not at "Check out Date" I believe this should be changed.

Improve checkout workflow to show the services page even if guests make full payment
The checkout workflow should show the service page so guests can add it even if they make the full payment. At the moment, the service page is not visible for fully-paid bookings, causing it to be inconvenient for the guest or the PM to add extra service during the guest's stay.

Cancellations with penalties when dates are not rebooked
Property Managers need a way to cancel a booking and release the dates, but keep the original guest financially responsible until the dates are rebooked.
If the dates are successfully rebooked, the system should allow applying a penalty and refunding the balance directly from the cancelled order.
If the dates are not rebooked, the original guest remains responsible for the full booking amount.4 votes -
Simplify Payment Flow for Manual Reservations
When creating a manual reservation in Hostfully, collecting payment via the payment link requires going through multiple screens. I want to reduce the number of screens required to collect payment.

Configurable Resolution Line Items for Trust Accounting & Reporting
DESCRIPTION
Introduce configurable resolution transaction line items that allow Airbnb (and other OTA) resolution amounts to be split into distinct, clearly defined entries for accurate reporting and trust accounting integrations. This should also apply to cancelled reservations with partial payments, where manual allocation is often required.PROBLEM
Resolution amounts and partial payments from cancelled reservations are currently recorded as single transactions. This does not allow separation between owner revenue, manager revenue, or mixed allocations, which is required for compliant trust accounting and accurate financial reporting.IMPACT

Auto-refund status icons not showing in booking details
The small icon that shows the auto-refund status is not showing in the booking details along with the other status icons (Rental Agreement signed & Guest Details icons). This should be consistent with the pipeline status icons.

Improve Balance Due Dates for Last-Minute Bookings
If a booking is created after the configured balance due date, the system should automatically set the balance due date to the booking date (or the nearest future date before check-in). This change would make payment due dates clearer, reduce confusion, and improve the booking and payment experience for both property managers and guests.

Allow separate Stripe connections for sub-properties
Currently, sub-properties in Hostfully inherit the payment processor settings from their master property, meaning all payments are routed through the master’s Stripe account.
For property managers who operate multi-unit listings, it would be extremely helpful to allow connecting different Stripe accounts directly to sub-properties without unlinking them from the master.

Reschedule Auto 2nd Payment Balance When Updating Split Payment Settings
As a property manager, I want the auto 2nd payment balance to be rescheduled whenever I update the split payment settings on the property settings page. This ensures that payment handling for leads is automatically adjusted based on the updated settings, maintaining accuracy and reducing manual intervention.
Current Behavior: When the split payment settings are updated on the property’s main settings page, the payment handling for the associated lead is not rescheduled. However, updating the lead directly in the lead modal correctly triggers the rescheduling of the payment due handling.

Capture credit card when % at Reservation is set to '0'
To prevent incurring non-refundable fees from Stripe, we've set 'Percentage at Reservation' to '0%' and 'Collect balance at' to 30 days. Our refund policy states that no refunds will be issued within 30 days of the scheduled arrival. When a customer makes a reservation through our website more than 30 days in advance, no credit card information is captured initially. To enhance the process, we propose making a $1 authorization to verify and capture the card, ensuring a smoother transaction when processing the charge 30 days prior to arrival.

Payment processing fees are a lot and add up as an expense. Please add an option to charge the guest for payment processing fees when using Stripe as a payment processor.

When using VacationRentPayment, allow PMs to accept the bookings before charging the guests
If we use VacationRentPayment as a payment processor, booking requests get charged immediately. However, VRP does refund the payment processing fee on refunded transactions (if refunded within 48 hours). So the guests are getting charged before they have a confirmed reservation.
We need to change this behavior so that guests are not charged until PMs agree to take the bookings

Ability to update the link of "privacy term"
At the time of payment, the client is binding himself by the terms and conditions of the rental agency, not the platform on which the transaction happens (Hostfully). The T&Cs of the agency should be readily available via a link to be visited should the clients want to check. If necessary, Hostfully may also want to display their privacy rules about handling personal and financial data, but this should be presented separately.
