Tax Exemption for Fee's Tax for DBS

  • Channel: Direct Booking Site
  • When I add 1 custom fee included tax for the fee. Ex: Dog fee = 100 - Tax 10% I want to have a option to add the tax exemption for this tax.

    This is super annoying, not sure why they decided to separate tax on rent from tax on cleaning fees in the first place, but if you can show them separately I assume you can figure out how to ignore them as well. The advice from support has been weak...refund the extra tax (and incur the Stripe processing fee) , reduce the second payment when possible etc,

    This was submitted by support on my behalf. But this issue persists with VRBO, too. If you are in a municipality where taxes don't apply to nightly rate or fees for a longer stay (29 nights in my case), Hostfully's current funtionality only obeys the "Ignore tax charge for stays over" setting for the nightly rate only. That means that a cleaning fee and pet fee for a longer stay is getting charged tax when it should not. This is not good for bookkeeping!
