Ability to split payments for reservations
Would love to have the option for our guests to use the link to pay any amount like when two guests split the bill in two or more, or when they can pay a certain amount at a time, instead of the strict amount based on our reservation payment policy (50% deposit, 50% balance. That said, when we send them the payment reminder, they can use the link in there and enter "x" amount.
32 votesThank you for submitting this idea. We have considered this in the past but this behavior comes with complexities. The question is whether we consider a property as booked on the first split payment and block the calendar or not:
- if we do: a guest could pay $5 on a $1000 payment and the calendar will be blocked with a payment that does not meet the reservation amount threshold (putting the PM at risk)
- if we do not consider it as booked until the whole $1000 is received, the PM could end up with 4 payments of $200 and the property is still available. Someone else could then end en booking the property and the PM is left with having to process 4 refunds.
So this feature is definitely interesting but requires that particular threshold rules to be defined and the system behaviour to adapt to them.

Show nightly rate breakdown on payment link
It would be important to have a way on the invoice where guests can see the room rate breakdown for each night as opposed to just the total.

Automatically cancel the reservation when payment fails
Currently when payment fails for insufficient funds the booking goes into our calendar and blocks the dates preventing anyone else from booking. In VRBO it looks like a valid reservation. It isn't obvious to the guests or to us that there is a problem with payment so the conversation with the guest continues as usual and check in details are provided. Until I see a vague email from Hostfully saying that a payment failed. It doesn't identify the reservation. Just that a payment failed. If I hadn't been checking my email I wouldn't know. Quite often the email gets lost…

Have option to collect deposit X days before checkin
I want to collect the security deposit 7 days before checkin days, there's only booking time or checkin time available at the moment.
at booking it's too early and and at checkin too late... it is our experience

Scheduling security deposit payments
We should have the ability to Schedule. Hopefully should also work with payment systems to negotiate a refund on the transaction fees.

When we send a quote, it is important to see in that quote the discount applied. For instance, I set 10% for more than a week. Instead to change automatically the daily rate, it should show the discount applied as a single line. I believe that Guests would be more inclined to book with a discount.

Remove word "Hostfully" in payment link after white-labelling
I would like to remove the word "Hostfully" in payment link - bottom line "By placing your order, you agree to Hostfully's privacy policy and terms and conditions".
If the software is truly white labeled, you technically don't want the word "Hostfully" anywhere on pieces facing the customer.

Auto refund cancelled reservations based on cancellation policy
For now, the system only has feature to refund SD automatically. We'd love a feature to issue refund for cancelled reservations automatically based on the cancellation policy set, like other channels Airbnb or Vrbo.

More flexibility to split the charge into more than 2 payments
Hi team,
At the moment, the system doesn't support splitting 2nd payment into 2 or more payments.
As a workaround, users should:
1. Create manual payment link from Stripe > send to the guest
2. Once the guest pays, Record a payment manually from Pipeline
3. When the 2nd payment is due, the payment link will be sent to the guest with the correct amountThat seems like a very overly-complicated way to handle this very simple use case. We would love to have an option to bill card on file and apply to balance feature to the platform.

Payment of Long-term Airbnb reservations (from 28 nights) needs updating correctly in Hostfully.
For Airbnb reservations from 28 nights, Airbnb will split the payment into 2 transactions but in Hostfully there's 1 transaction and it shows as fully paid at the beginning while it is not.

Add the Rental Conditions as a mandatory field to agree to and sign when processing payments
We would prefer that the guest simply be forced to sign the rental agreement when they book —or— when they make their second payment.

Ability to require Vrbo Invoice Payment Method even with payment processor
The When a customer is using the Vrbo Invoice Payment Method and they have a payment processor active, they would like to be able to only show the "bill me" option in Vrbo and remove the pay by credit card option.

Keep the auto-refund security deposit schedule for cancelled bookings
At the moment, if I setup auto security deposit refund. The schedule will be cancelled when bookings are cancelled. Which is tedious.

whimstay security deposit
Whimstay doesn't process security deposits. For Whistay bookings, there should be a way we can automatically either remove that line from the order or collect through stripe. Otherwise the payments aren't marked as paid in full, and RemoteLock codes aren't activated.

Feature to allow guests to request Invoice
Sometimes guests need Invoices, it would be easier if they could request an invoice from their Guest Portal > Property managers receive an email about that request and manually send them their Statement Invoice via Hostfully Inbox
