AI-driven alert system that monitors guest messaging threads during a stay to Keep or Cancel automated reviews
Feature Summary:
Request for an AI-driven alert system that monitors guest messaging threads during a stay, flags potentially problematic interactions, and gives the host the ability to keep or cancel a scheduled automated review before it posts to Airbnb or vrbo
How It Works with a cometitor currently:
AI analyzes the guest messaging thread in real time during a stay.If a complaint or issue is detected (e.g., "the thermostat isn't working"), the system sends the host a red notification flag alerting them that the stay may be problematic. The host is presented with two options: KEEP or CANCEL the automated review that is scheduled to post to Airbnb. The notification does not auto-cancel the review — it simply surfaces the flag and puts the decision in the host's hands.
Why It Matters:
- Review reciprocity logic: When a host leaves a review for a guest, it prompts the guest to leave a review in return. For a bad or questionable stay, posting a review can inadvertently trigger a negative guest review.
-Hosts currently have no automated signal in Hostfully to catch these situations before a scheduled review goes out.
-This is a host reputation management use case with direct impact on Airbnb ratings and listing visibility.
Suggested Hostfully Implementation Notes:
- AI trigger: Analyze the guest messaging thread for keywords or sentiment indicating a complaint, issue, or dissatisfaction during the stay.
Notification: Surface a flag (e.g., in-app alert or email) to the host when a potentially problematic stay is detected.
Host action: Present a clear KEEP / CANCEL option for the scheduled automated review — no auto-cancellation; host retains full control.
-Integration point: This would tie into Hostfully's existing automated review trigger functionality (currently configured under Templates & Triggers, soon to be rebranded as Automations).
