Improve the availabilty update for multi-unit
For Multi Unit properties, availability is calculated at the unit type level on a nightly basis, similarly to hotel inventory. This means that if there is at least 1 available unit for each individual night of the requested stay, Booking.com can consider the reservation bookable, even if the availability comes from different physical units across those nights.
From the channel perspective, the stay is considered available because inventory exists for every night requested.
Because of this setup, reservations may sometimes require manual reshuffling between units afterward in order to create continuous availability for the guest stay.
This creates the operational frustration, especially when you need to block gaps or manually move reservations between units to avoid conflicts.
What I imagine is that idea, as obviously we want to be 100% automated, not to be suffering or manually shifting reservations to prevent overlappings, which should not exist at all as it is the main reason to have a PMS.
