Option to Link Manual Jobs with Specific Bookings
1/ Use case:
Currently, when a manual job is created from the calendar, it is tied only to a specific date rather than a reservation. This limits dynamic updates and forces PMs to manually adjust job details whenever reservation information changes.
2/ Feature request:
Allow PMs the option to link a manually created job directly to a specific reservation during/ after the job creation.
When creating a manual job, users will have two choices:
Option A — Independent Job: Job is tied solely to the selected date (current existing behavior).
Option B — Linked Job: Job is explicitly linked to a selected reservation.
3/ Key Capabilities & Expected Behavior when Option B (Linked Job) is selected:
3.1 Dynamic Data Sync: If the linked reservation’s stay dates or guest count are updated, the job schedule/details will update automatically.
3.2 Variable Population: Reservation-specific variables (e.g Job Dates, Property Details) will dynamically populate inside custom job templates.
4/ Additional Rules
4.1 Cancellation Handling: If the reservation is canceled, the linked manual job should be cancelled automatically.
4.2 Unlinking/Deletion Safety: If a job is unlinked or deleted, the underlying reservation remains unaffected.
4.3 One-to-Many Relationship: A single reservation can be linked to multiple manual jobs (e.g., Mid-stay Cleaning, Maintenance Inspection, Welcome Gift Setup).
