  1. Dates, which are restricted in "Check-in", are displayed as grayed out in the date picker when the guests select "checkin date", similar to the blocks, which is confusing and makes the guests think it's not available. I would like to have it work similar to Airbnb
    - Dates are restricted are grayed out
    - Dates are indeed unavailable/blocked are crossed out

  2. It appears that all the vertical photos on Photos tab changes to landscape mode on DBS, result in the photo being zoomed in too much.
    It'd be great if DBS supports both vertical and landscape photos

  3. Add dropdown options for the direct booking site, giving the option not only to share the city, but also share State/Province or Country (helpful for people with listings in multiple cities, states, and countries)

  4. Allow the "Enter a brief message" box to be optionally required by the Host to force the user to provide some information about their stay(Helping qualify guests and prevent parties etc.)
    Also, allow the Host to personalize the description text message from "Enter a brief message" to something else with a character limit.

  6. When activated, the minimum price rule does not seem to generate the desired prices.

    We have a 2-night minimum across the portfolio, but choose to activate the "minimum price rule" so that website users can choose a 1-night stay if they are willing to pay the 2-night rate. However, the price shown for a 1-night stay always seems to be higher (sometimes significantly higher) than the price for the same stay extended to 2-nights. Something is off.

  7. We upload high resolution images for our properties, so that any scaling that needs to be done by various platforms starts with the best possible quality.

    When the new DBS went live, it looks like it's using the full resolution. This means it's downloading dozens of 15-20MB images for each property, which is obviously very slow.

    AirBNB, as one example, rescales the listing images into webp format for listings. Not sure what other platforms do, but it would be nice to have the high resolution images in hostfully, and push those out to platforms that support it to let them…

  8. The new DBS is generating a very long property URL link.

    We need it to be shorter, as a shorter more precise link will not only make it easier to share with others, it is less likely to be considered a fraudulent or spam link, and will also assist with SEO.

  9. For now it will show expired if the discount code is not input or not fully input. It would be nice if there is a message to show them the reason

    I want the error message to appear only after checkin/check-out is filled.

  10. I think most Hostfully property managers have guests from other countries come to the USA to visit their properties. When they book through Airbnb or VRBO, or other channels currency is converted for a smooth transaction. Using a direct booking site also must convert currency as we will have potential guests from other countries outside of the USA wanting to come visit our properties in the USA.

  11. Please consider offering a different booking window for direct website + hostfully booking widget vs other booking channels. For example in high season OTAs could have 2 week window and own website longer window to promote direct bookings.

    Alternatively, this could be achieved by creating blocks that do not apply to direct website.

  12. On new DBS, it spells Neighbourhood. While I understand that in the United States, there is a preference for "neighborhood" over "neighbourhood", "neighbourhood" is not a spelling mistake, but it might give a confusion and misunderstanding that it's spelled wrongly.

    It'd be nice if we can adjust Neighborhood

  13. No matter if it is a brand new code or a code that is not expired, as the guest is entering the code it says invalid until the whole code is entered. This makes a lot of guests stop before it is completed and calls that say the code does not work.

  16. For the new DBS, it shows full Agency information, including Agency name, phone number and website. I don't want my phone number to be shown there. I'd be better if we can adjust what can be shown on the footer.

  20. It would be nice to have a place for a custom URL for a thank you page, so that after a guest makes a reservation and checks out they can be sent back to a custom direct booking site. This would be very useful for tracking conversions if you are running ads.
