VRBO Pet Rules Settings
Summary:
Hosts using the VRBO integration are unable to maintain pet-related house rules configured directly in VRBO because Hostfully does not currently support the corresponding fields. As a result, pet settings entered in VRBO are overwritten during synchronization.
Customer Impact:
VRBO allows hosts to specify important pet policy details within House Rules, including:
- Number of pets allowed
- Pet size or weight restrictions
- Additional pet-specific requirements or limitations
Because these fields do not exist in Hostfully, any values configured directly within VRBO are removed or reset after the next sync from Hostfully. This forces hosts to repeatedly re-enter the information in VRBO and creates the risk that listings will display inaccurate pet policies.
Customer Feedback:
The customer tested this behavior across multiple properties and confirmed that the pet rule information is consistently overwritten overnight following synchronization.
Requested Enhancement:
Add support for VRBO pet rule fields within Hostfully and map them through the integration so pet settings can be managed centrally without being overwritten.
Desired Outcome:
- Hosts can configure pet policies within Hostfully.
- Pet rule settings sync successfully to VRBO.
- Existing VRBO pet settings are preserved when no corresponding value exists in Hostfully.
Priority Consideration:
This impacts listing accuracy and guest expectations, particularly for pet-friendly properties where limitations on number or size of pets are important operational requirements.
