Handling pet fees in booking process
Airbnb now allows you to charge a pet fee as does VRBO. But the hostfully calendar widget you have for your direct booking website does not allow you to select a pet to your reservation. In the "Policies and Fees" tab in Hostfully lets you select "applies to hostfully" andbut this will AUTOMATICALLY charge the pet fee to EVERY guest. It does not let your guests select is they are bringing a pet or not. If you click "is optional" is still does not give the option for guest to pick a pet or not.

The workflow for "Handle pet fee in Hostfully booking flow" is honestly really cumbersome and not intuitive. Why don't you just allow the option to create additional fees and display those options at direct booking check out?

There should be a drop down that allows guests to select the number of adults, children, infants and pets. That drop down should be linked to the fees. For example, we have a pet fee. However, since there is no drop down for the guests to select "pets" we have to manually request the pet fee after they book. That looks bad on us as not all of our fees are upfront for the guest to see.
On AirBnB, if a guest selects, 1 pet, they automatically see the associated costs with bringing a pet. -

Hi Rebecca! Thanks for your idea. We have received it and will consider adding the option to select the number of pets in the Booking Widget next time when we improve the Direct Booking Site.
As a temporary workaround, you might want to create another "Pet fee" which only applies to Hostfully Channel (make it optional). When guests inform you that they have pets, you can edit the order details in the system (by checking the box of pet fee) accordingly.
