Booking Reservations - Show Base Nightly Rate NOT Total Cost of Stay
When a guest is booking a reservation, chooses location and dates, it takes you to booking page where a TOTAL Cost of Stay shows, instead of the base nightly Rental Rate. This may scare off many interested guests. You can "show details" which will outline all the cost associated with the booking, but we believe it's critical to have Base Rental Nightly Rate showcased at top where it only currently shows TOTAL COST for One or More Nights. Desire what hotels and airlines show when booking reservations.

I guess guests may want to see the average nightly rate and total over the period selected. I prefer to blend in all the fees but I understand some prefer to show taxes separately. Some flexibility here would be ideal.

I actually disagree--I would prefer to show the total rather than the base nightly rate. Many people get frustrated when they get into the booking process and see the fees and taxes for the first time, with a total that's much more than they expected based on the avg nightly base rate. This is why Airbnb rolled out the option (last year?) for guest to see the total price when searching.
Since there are differences of opinion here, the best thing for Hostfully to do would be to give the PMs the option of showing either the total or the average base price. Make it another configurable setting in the DBS settings.

Absolutely essential. Guests booking directly want to see the nightly rate and business travelers have to have this on their receipts for expense reporting reasons. The total is a deterrent. It shocks people and they don’t want to get their calculator out to compare to other properties and hotels. It is absolutely essential that this get corrected and be on the next update so guests don’t think we are hiding something in this total. They have to be able to see the nightly rate so they understand how we are calculating the total. Please fix this. It is critical and an industry standard.

Thanks for your feedback, Brian! We've received it and will consider this improvement next time we work on the Direct Booking Site.
