Sold upsells in a report
Having a list of sold upsells in a report

Hostfully offers a great upsell feature through Service Providers and the Direct Booking Flow, allowing property managers to promote add-ons like “Early Check-In” or “Late Check-Out” before or after a guest’s stay. When using the [$BOOK_SERVICES_URL$] variable in messaging, guests can select and purchase these upsells, which then appear on the lead and order views. This is a powerful tool for driving extra revenue and improving the guest experience.
The Gap:
Despite this functionality working well in the booking and messaging flow, there is currently no way to report on these upsell purchases. Even when creating custom formulas that match the exact service name (e.g., “Early Check-In”), the data does not pull into Hostfully’s reporting features. Why This Matters:
Without visibility into which upsells are being booked, when, and how often, property managers are unable to:
• Track revenue generated from upsells
• Identify which add-ons are most popular
• Measure performance across properties or service types
•Suggested Enhancement:
Enable reporting for Service Provider-based upsells, ideally by:
• Allowing users to generate reports that include upsell purchases. If a service is added in service providers, there should automatically be a field added to reporting to use. There would never be a situation where you are making a sale and do not want to report it. This would be easiest.
• Making service line items filterable or trackable in the Reports section
• Allowing custom formulas or fields that can successfully reference and aggregate upsell dataExample Use Case:
A manager wants to analyze how many guests purchased “Early Check-In” in Q1 across all properties. Today, there’s no reliable way to pull this data—even though it’s already on the lead. Enabling reporting for this would unlock the full value of this upsell feature.
