  3. Dates, which are restricted in "Check-in", are displayed as grayed out in the date picker when the guests select "checkin date", similar to the blocks, which is confusing and makes the guests think it's not available. I would like to have it work similar to Airbnb
    - Dates are restricted are grayed out
    - Dates are indeed unavailable/blocked are crossed out

  5. Right now prospective guests are REALLY struggling to understand how much our properties cost. It's the number one question we get from people who are searching on our direct booking site.

    The problem is that there is no way to compare prices across properties other than drilling down into several property pages open in several tabs and entering dates and guest count info in each one.

    It would be much easier to enter the dates and guest count once in the main search and see the total displayed under each property's tile. It's nice that there's already the ability to…

  7. The price quoted in the email is deceptively high and would scare off guests since it is the total including the deposit and all fees. I would think that if they clicked on one of the properties in the email that it would show them a breakdown of how that figure was calculated. But it just takes them to the listing. Not a quote. ---Personally I'd prefer if this email would publish the nightly rate instead. Let the guests see all the fees and deposits later. This email should entice them, not scare them off.

  9. Has there been any discussions about Hostfully platform being able to
    accept Crypto currency for bookings? Does anyone else think this is a good idea since the industry is shifting towards digital currency? Many travel sites are already offering this option.

  10. Currently, with the new version of the direct booking site, the price calculation of minPriceOverYear on the Hostfully Direct Booking site is now (the lowest night price + tax rate % + non-optional fees + non-optional taxes).

    But I would like to not show the non-optional fees on that minimum price, so it would be great if we could customize the min price of the booking widget to define the amount to display.

  12. I would love to be able to choose for how long I extend an individual reservation hold. Instead of the flat agency setting (currently set to 24hrs), it would be good to have a a few custom buttons to extend for 1hr, 12 hrs, 24 hrs (and ability to customise each preset)

  13. Currently, taxes added to a property are displayed as fees during the Direct Booking Site checkout flow.

    Taxes should appear under a dedicated “Taxes” section/label instead of being grouped together with fees. This would provide clearer pricing transparency for guests and help differentiate mandatory government taxes from property-specific fees.

  14. Currently, optional upsell items (such as pet fees) are only displayed later in the booking process, around the “Confirm and Continue” or payment stage. This can make them easy for guests to miss.

    It would improve the user experience to surface these options earlier in the flow — for example:

    After guests input the number of guests

    Before clicking “Book Now”

    Or as a dropdown/selectable option earlier in the checkout process

    This would make upsells more visible and intuitive, and could potentially increase adoption and reduce confusion for guests.

  15. When a property manager blocks check out on a specific date in the calendar, the booking widget displays that date as grey.

    However, the date is not actually unavailable. Guests can still stay that night as part of a longer reservation. The only restriction is that they cannot check out on that date.

    This creates confusion for guests because the widget visually suggests the date cannot be booked at all, even though it is still available within a multi night stay.

  19. On Booking widget, the pricing section doesn’t appear to move when clicking on "Show details", and it wasn’t immediately obvious that they needed to scroll all the way down to see the rest of the information.
