  1. I am interested in setting up a system where travel agencies and other external partners can earn a commission (for example, 3%) for referring guests directly to our properties managed through HostFully. This would be separate from any internal programs currently offered by HostFully.

  2. Model the direct booking checkout to be more like Airbnb. Allow pets to be entered on the first screen instead of after the fact as an upsell. Add a note under "book now" that indicates the guest won't be charged yet. Add a separate inquiry button so if the guest has a question they can be sure they are submitting it and will get a response. Currently with instant booking turned on, the host gets a notification every time someone clicks book now (but doesn't complete the reservation), but the guest is not aware of that and not expecting any…

  4. We used the “Additional Charge” feature, but on the checkout page, next to the security deposit it says (refundable). The security deposit is not actually included in the amount they pay upfront, so it is technically not “refundable.” Many guests contact us to ask when they will receive a refund of their security deposit and we have to explain to them that it was never paid, but is just an additional charge option we have after checkout if needed. Guests are often disappointed to realize this, thinking they were going to get $500 back of what they had already paid.

  7. I would like to avoid showing the location of certain properties with too much accuracy until the booking is confirmed. Until the /search page was added there was no way to see exactly where the property was, but now you can zoom in very close on the search page and see exactly where the properties are, even sometimes which part of a multi-unit building the unit is.

    The map on the property details doesn't seem to have ever shown the exact location of the property, which seems like the right design if you're not going to make it configurable.

  9. The URLs that are built for the Direct Booking site MUST escape characters that are considered "unsafe". This includes the pipe character ( | ), which is pretty commonly used in page titles as a separator that doesn't take up much space.

    If these are not escaped, Google Travel will NOT accept the weblink. For example, one of our listings has this for the direct URL:

    https://reservations.vacayintucson.com/property-details/b9e9522c-8bfc-49a0-af7f-1d9705479c80/Modern%20Desert%20Oasis%20|%20Huge%20Private%20Yard%20&%20Hot%20Tub

    That should escape the | to %7C:

    https://reservations.vacayintucson.com/property-details/b9e9522c-8bfc-49a0-af7f-1d9705479c80/Modern%20Desert%20Oasis%20%7C%20Huge%20Private%20Yard%20&%20Hot%20Tub

  10. Not being able to modify DBS price display for Units once you click from frontpage shows an average price which is higher than half of our year and can turn away guests that are looking for lower prices. This is misleading guests.

    It should be exactly the same as the units that show on the front page.

  11. I mean the code can be used for many bookings during the time periods as long as the booking is valid. But each user/email, when making a reservation, can only use that code once.

  12. It would be nice to be able to collect the data that goes into the Booking Widget tab, especially the cell phone number is important as this is the number that we'll be able to reach the guest.

    Regarding the phone number, it's really important to choose a country code. As you now allow PM to collect which country the customer comes from, we can't contact the customer if they forget to type in the country code.

  17. At the moment, the system is designed to display the rent and fees breakdown in sections. On the order page, we will find sections that outline the rental cost, taxes, and any additional fees, as well as the total amount. The bolded sections represent the total amount, and the breakdown will be listed under each section.

    However, if we have only 1 fee under the Fees section. It will be showing like the guests are being charged twice. While the math is correct, the customer experience of seeing two line items for fees is compromising the experience.

  18. Previously we were able to use a format in the property URLs that automatically added the discount code for the user. Now this type of format does not work anymore. We would like to have the ability to send discounted rates to the customers adding the discount codes to the property URLs.

  19. When activated, the minimum price rule does not seem to generate the desired prices.

    We have a 2-night minimum across the portfolio, but choose to activate the "minimum price rule" so that website users can choose a 1-night stay if they are willing to pay the 2-night rate. However, the price shown for a 1-night stay always seems to be higher (sometimes significantly higher) than the price for the same stay extended to 2-nights. Something is off.

  20. For the new DBS, it shows full Agency information, including Agency name, phone number and website. I don't want my phone number to be shown there. I'd be better if we can adjust what can be shown on the footer.
