Ability to split payments for reservations
Would love to have the option for our guests to use the link to pay any amount like when two guests split the bill in two or more payments.

partial payments just for a specific booking and not to change the entire property settings

This is important for long stays, i was promised this feature during my sales call, pretty disappointing to see it not even on the roadmap after the years i've been on the platform. Couple that with all the money i've lost with whatever bug was going on with completing stripe transactions for hostfully direct bookings, I'm a *very* disappointed customer at the moment.

I would like an alternative payment splits and methods. There are times when guests may need to do more than 2 payments or may be using e-transfer to avoid payment processing fees (More for the off season longer stays in my case)
I would love to see a way to choose cash instead of credit card payment along with an editable payment schedule and, if you wanted to get really crazy, a reminder system when those payments are upcoming/due/late. The payments would come outside the system, of course but just to keep track of when and how much owed.
I am attaching screenshots of a different PMS that I am moving away from right now but they def did this part right.

Most critical is that for longer stays, (several months) guests should be able to pay a month at a time .

Be able to choose different split payment options for the same property

Hi team,
At the moment, the system doesn't support splitting 2nd payment into 2 or more payments.
As a workaround, users should:
1. Create manual payment link from Stripe > send to the guest
2. Once the guest pays, Record a payment manually from Pipeline
3. When the 2nd payment is due, the payment link will be sent to the guest with the correct amountThat seems like a very overly-complicated way to handle this very simple use case. We would love to have an option to bill card on file and apply to balance feature to the platform.

We have about 20 properties that we operate on a monthly basis. We are manually charging guests for these and actually using a different software to make it happen directly.
It would be nice to charge guests on a monthly basis like Airbnb does. Guests can book and only pay for the first 30 days and security deposit. Then a payment link is sent before their next payment is due.

For stays longer than 30 days or would be ideal if it worked similar to Airbnb.
They collect 1 month at a time which is typical of a long term stat/lease
People booking 120 day stays often can't afford to pay the whole thing
There does need to be a different payment threshold setup for intermediate length stays vs short term stays

Hi Steph, PM Lance (lance@swank-properties.com) shared his opinion:
"Steph, the easy workaround for us would be to collect a certain % to book, as it is now. We then can set that to the existing choices. But then, that is where the need to split payments into installments comes up. We need to not simply "collect balance" in full at a specific time. We need to be able to collect % or $ amounts at certain intervals. My personal preference is 10% to book, 33% of remaining balance at check-in, 33% of remaining balance at 30 days after check-in, and 33% of remaining balance 60 days after check-in.
We are in need of that as a majority of our guests today are staying for 60-180 days. Collecting the balance at x days before check-in is just not functional at all."
Thank you!

I want guests to be able to pay installments, split payment for a specific reservation and pay with 2 different credit cards using the same payment link.

What might work here is to just allow "partial" payments at any time.
Anyone can use the payment link to pay whatever portion they're responsible for.?
