  3. In "Notifying the owner about new booking" template, I want to apply more variables about the order than the current existing one.

    E.g Rental Revenue: [{ORDERBASEAMOUNT}-{COMMISSIONOTATOTAL}+{ADJUSTMENTRENT}+{EXTRAGUESTFEEAMOUNT}+{PAYMENTPROCESSINGFEE}]

    But currently, the template variables only support some basic order details.

  4. Currently, the inbox search on Hostfully only allows searching by guest name or email. It would be incredibly helpful if users could also search by keywords within the conversation history.

    There are many situations where we may not remember a guest’s exact name or email, but we can recall specific words, details, or phrases from the conversation. Being able to search by any keyword written in a message would:

    Greatly improve efficiency in finding past communications
    Save time when retrieving important details
    Provide a smoother workflow for property managers

  6. I would recommend Hostfully to immediately search and show a drop down of existing guests after we start typing the guests' first or last name, to match with existing records. Usually when we need to create manual bookings, chances are they are returning guests. And after clicking the name we chose, auto populate the remaining fields such as email, address, phone number, etc.

    At the moment, there is no centralized place in the platform where I can see sync issues related to LOS discounts or other pricing-related data. This lack of visibility makes it difficult to know when something is wrong.

    Recently, I encountered two separate sync issues across different listings that I only discovered after manually checking my Airbnb listings.     Thank you for voting for the idea “Automatically charge Stripe balance payments (second payment) for US guests on Vrbo.”


    We’re excited to let you know that this feature is now ready for a beta phase, and we’d love to invite interested customers to participate.


    What’s new?

    When enrolled in the beta, reservation balance payments will be automatically charged via Stripe for:

    • Vrbo reservations
    • Booking.com reservations


    How the flow works

    1. A guest books on Vrbo or Booking.com
    2. The guest pays the deposit on the channel platform (or, in the case of a 0% deposit, provides their credit card details without an initial charge)
    3. When the balance is due, Hostfully will automatically charge the remaining amount via Stripe
    4. If the automatic charge fails (e.g. insufficient funds, expired card, etc.), we will fall back to the existing flow and send the usual balance due payment request to the…

  11. Currently, that's expected for group booking behavior when we have the gr booking on sub-unit, the main lead will stay on hotel / master level without being allocated, which may hide the block on master beneath it.

Once the guest clicked on "Request a hold" from Quote message, the calendar will show a hold accordingly but there was no automated message sent to the guest. when i click her name in pipeline i do not get the option to "place on hold" only "extend hold" so I can't send the Hold confirmation message from Pipeline either. I can only choose the template from Inbox to send manually. It's very inconvenient.

    Please add another option or change "hold confirmation" message to automated instead of semi-automated

  14. Currently, optional upsell items (such as pet fees) are only displayed later in the booking process, around the “Confirm and Continue” or payment stage. This can make them easy for guests to miss.

    It would improve the user experience to surface these options earlier in the flow — for example:

    After guests input the number of guests

    Before clicking “Book Now”

    Or as a dropdown/selectable option earlier in the checkout process

    This would make upsells more visible and intuitive, and could potentially increase adoption and reduce confusion for guests.

  16. The purpose of a Property Management Software is to support dynamic pricing, flexibility, and conversion—especially for direct bookings. A major gap right now is where and when discounts can be applied.

    Direct-book guests don’t always use promo codes, and many inquiries come through our website specifically so we can interact, quote strategically, and close the sale. Sometimes that means offering a custom discount based on dates, length of stay, or guest budget after the inquiry is submitted.

    Currently:

    Promo codes only reduce Rent (pre-tax) if the guest knows and applies them at the time of inquiry.

  18. Currently, both Hot tub and Jacuzzi in Hostfully are mapped as Hot tub on Airbnb. However, the Jacuzzi is a bathtub which has jets. This is different than a hot tub. There shouldn’t be a hot tub amenity and a Jacuzzi amenity if they mean the same thing.

  19. VRBO operates in USD, but many properties around the world are priced in other local currencies. In addition, some countries cannot use Stripe due to country-specific restrictions or agreements, which prevents certain properties from connecting to VRBO directly.

    As a result, these properties often have to rely on iCal connections instead of a full direct integration. The downside is that iCal is limited and does not support full dynamic syncing, which can reduce exposure, efficiency, and potentially booking traffic.
