  1. If a guest makes a repeat reservation with the same email address, it would be nice if Hostfully would tag that guest automatically so we know it's a repeat guest. We host hundreds of guests a year so we try to remember names when we see them come through, but we obviously can't recognize every name and tag it

  2. At the moment, when importing past bookings, they are shown as unknown in the inbox, and the PM has to manually update them from the reservation.

  3. Currently, we can find the links to view the listing on each published channel by going through the Calendar and clicking on the unit type. It would be practical to also be able to view them within the Properties section, in the same way it works with standalone properties, for example.

  5. PM wants to integrate with the PriceLabs feature that allows dynamic minimum stay rules based on booking dates. For example: a minimun stay of 3 nights if booked within 30 days, and 5 nights if booked more than 30 days in advance.

  7. At the moment, a confirmed booking from Vrbo with success transaction is imported into Hostfully as NEWINQUIRY . Then the start of processBookingRequest method, we set the status as QUOTESENT. After the payment has been processed successfully, we change the status of the lead to BOOKEDBYCUSTOMER and then we thrown the NEW_BOOKING event.

    This causes both triggers for 'booking inquiry' and 'booking confirmed' fired for Vrbo confirmed reservation which confuses our guests and miscommunication. Some guests may not be happy because they're asked to pay while they have done it already.

  8. Trigger should fire for inactive properties. We deactivate the properties temporarily, but there are active reservations and we need automated messages sent to guests.

  10. As a property manager, once I successfully connect to a channel or integration in Hostfully, I’m redirected to a general page listing all available channels and integrations. From there, I have to manually click “Settings” or “Manage this Channel” to reach the property activation page.

    It would be a much smoother experience if Hostfully could automatically redirect me to the property activation page right after the connection is completed. This would reduce the number of clicks and help ensure I don’t forget to activate properties, saving time and avoiding missed setup steps.

It would be logical if and when a customer is making changes to their reservation, but when a Property Manager is making changes, on the back end, surely there should be prompts asking the editor if they wish to keep existing order and payment detail or adjust order detail to the changed property rate and/or dates? This seems logical to me. If you have multiple leads adjusting reservations for unforeseen circumstances and no warning prompt appears to the property manager when making changes, accounting's books would be a disaster.

  14. It would be great to have a feature where we can put a "hold" in the calendar for a guest, but without blocking off the calendar. For mid-term rentals, this would be helpful to us as some people book far in advance and it would be best to place them in a unit that works better for our vacancy windows. Basically, we want them "on the calendar" without blocking any calendar dates for others to book, as the individual is flexible on the unit we place them in.

  16. We used the “Additional Charge” feature, but on the checkout page, next to the security deposit it says (refundable). The security deposit is not actually included in the amount they pay upfront, so it is technically not “refundable.” Many guests contact us to ask when they will receive a refund of their security deposit and we have to explain to them that it was never paid, but is just an additional charge option we have after checkout if needed. Guests are often disappointed to realize this, thinking they were going to get $500 back of what they had already paid.

  17. When you click on a job on the calendar, you can only add a note for the job.

    I want to have the option to include the attachment to add the photos of the issue, so I have the details of the job needs to be done.

  19. We would like to see Service Providers' jobs list in one place similar to how they would see it under their own portal. Basically, we want to go to one place to see the full list of jobs each provider has assigned to them rather than looking on the calendar where you only see a blue circle and have to click on each one to see who is assigned to what that day.

Currently, if a direct booking booking setting is set to Booking Request or Instant Book, if there's a Custom Template and Trigger to go out as an Auto Response for the event, Booking Inquiry, that trigger goes out as soon as a guest clicks Book Now. That does not seem logical if a guest is actually booking, and not just sending an inquiry. This can cause confusion to the guest about why they are getting an auto response to an inquiry, when they are not actually sending an inquiry, but they are in the first steps of actually booking.
