  1. I wanted to emphasize how important it is for South African clients to have access to a payment integration that supports instant bookings. Unfortunately, Stripe and PayPal are not viable options in South Africa, which means the only way for us to currently accept direct booking payments through Hostfully is via the ChargeAutomation integration. The downside of this setup is that we are unable to offer instant bookings, which inevitably creates booking drop-off and bounce rates.

  3. The daysBetweenDates on the search widget is defaulted to 7 days so when I select Aug 1 for the check-in date, the check-out date is automatically Aug 8. However, guests should be able to select any checkout date after the check-in date so this is confusing.

  6. We've had 2 renters leave our cabins in disastrous condition. We do not want to rent to them again. We are set up on channels with instant booking but do not want them to be able to book. We need a block feature.

  9. Security for the Rental Agreement Signature.
    For now, anyone can access the signed rental agreement with the URL. As these documents contain confidential customer information, we would like to have the option to secure the link.

  12. If a guest changes the number of guests after the initial booking i.e they book for 2 but want to change to 4, we cannot manually alter this in Hostfully for BDC bookings. This then causes an issue for the rest of the team as they have no visibility of number of guests. We need to be able to amend this if the numbers change

  13. If putting in a Price Rule (like a weekly discounts) it would be nice to be able to limit this discount to specific months or date ranges. Or have the Promo Codes apply to Airbnb, vrbo, etc. and not just to the Hostfully direct bookings.

  14. I have a pet fee with a scope "per stay" as I charge a one-time pet fee no matter how many pets guests bring.

    However, with the new Direct booking site, this fee is automatically applied to all direct bookings, even though the guest does not bring pets. It should only apply if the guest selects pets in their booking.

    Therefore, I have to change the scope to "per pet" while it's not completely correct because I don't charge a pet fee based on how many pets guests bring.

  16. For Multi Unit properties, availability is calculated at the unit type level on a nightly basis, similarly to hotel inventory. This means that if there is at least 1 available unit for each individual night of the requested stay, Booking.com can consider the reservation bookable, even if the availability comes from different physical units across those nights.

    ​From the channel perspective, the stay is considered available because inventory exists for every night requested.

    Because of this setup, reservations may sometimes require manual reshuffling between units afterward in order to create continuous availability for the guest stay.

  17. I would love to be able to choose for how long I extend an individual reservation hold. Instead of the flat agency setting (currently set to 24hrs), it would be good to have a a few custom buttons to extend for 1hr, 12 hrs, 24 hrs (and ability to customise each preset)

  20. Now we refund the security deposit manually, but the system template is only for auto-scheduled Security Deposit transaction, so we would like to notify the manual refund transaction.
    It would be great if we can have an event "Successful Refund" in the custom trigger event list.
