  1. Right now, the only option to send our guest's receipts is to create a template with the [$ORDER_STATEMENT$] variable but it doesn't populate crucial information like dates, guest's name, property name, transaction number, etc.

    Would be nice to see an improvement here.

  2. Currently, when the checkbox is checked in the Pre-arrival form builder, the label changes to “Required,” and when it is unchecked, it changes to “Optional,” which makes it seem like checking the box keeps the field optional. Improving the clarity of this interaction would reduce confusion.

  4. I wanted to explain why the ability to schedule messages after booking confirmation is so important for VRBO reservations.

    Because VRBO requires the PMS to act as the merchant of record, all payments are processed through our Stripe account. Stripe’s processing fees are non-refundable, so once a guest’s payment is captured, those fees can’t be returned — unless the property manager absorbs the cost.

    To handle this fairly, my solution is to delay the payment until the guest understands this policy. My plan is:

    When a guest books, they immediately receive a confirmation message explaining the processing-fee policy.

  5. Have information for a returning guest save on hostfully (their name, email and phone number) for direct bookings.
    We have many returning guests and every time we need to add a new reservation made through whatsapp or call, we need to have their email typed again and their name and phone number.
    A dropdown list should be fine when adding a direct booking.

  7. Introduce a centralized system that allows property managers to flag and block problematic guests across all properties within an agency. Currently, guest issues are tracked at the individual property level, allowing repeat offenders to book other listings within the same portfolio.

    This feature would enable agencies to mark guests as “Do Not Host” or “High Risk,” add internal notes, and automatically block or flag future booking attempts across all properties. It should also include alerts for flagged guests and team-based permissions for managing guest status.

  8. When Hostfully’s iCal feed is imported to Google Calendar, the event appears to end the night before checkout. This causes confusion for property managers and cleaners who rely on Google Calendar to see when a property is still occupied or needs cleaning.

    Hostfully exports the data correctly (from check-in to check-out), but Google interprets the event as ending on the previous night. It would be very helpful to have an optional setting in the iCal export that adds one extra day to the event duration.

  10. With the new Promo Codes endpoint, we now have the capability to retrieve/manage promo codes. However, we are currently unable to apply a promo code when generating a quote or lead.

    The PM requires the functionality to pass a promo code when retrieving a quote, in order to accurately display the price breakdown to the customer and initiate the checkout process.

At the moment, when using ChargeAutomation to collect payments for Booking.com reservations, it is required to change the API setting for Booking.com connection so PM can view the CC details and charge it actively. It would be helpful if Hostfully can support automatic payments for ChargeAutomation with BDC (also for Vrbo and direct bookings).

  12. When we sync hostfully with clearning accounting, we are showing a mis-matched balance and it is because hostfully is counting the whimstay platform fee as income instead of as a fee deducted from the payment. It is inflating our deposit

  14. We are using the hold function for 24 hours and then use the autosend follow up to nudge the client that the hold is due to expire. This is very effective! However, is there any way the booking hold request quote flip into a new lead that can still remain accessible to book if it the hold has expired? This way if a client is late to make the payment, they can still book without intervention from us but it also releases the date on the calender to allow another reservation to happen if they are too slow.

  15. The mobile app needs to become as useable as the website. We were previously with Guesty and we were able to do everything from the app that we could do on the website. We can't even cancel or delete reservations from the app so having to wait until you get to a computer, which can be a couple days if you work in an office, is just not convenient. I want to be able to create or add a listing, edit triggers and templates, etc.

  16. I would like Hostfully to integrate with Revolut Business payment links.
    Stripe and PayPal fees are significantly reducing margins, especially for high-volume property managers. With Revolut Business, we can receive up to 250 payments per month for around €10/month, which is far more cost-efficient.
    This is especially important for selling add-ons, experiences, packages, and direct bookings. With Stripe fees, the profit on these services becomes very low and sometimes not worth the effort.
    A Revolut integration would:
    Reduce unnecessary transaction costs
    Increase profitability
    Encourage more upsells through Hostfully

  18. When manually creating a reservation, add ability to specify a different down payment then the default. The use case is to use when making a longer than usual reservation and offering the repeat guest a lower initial down payment....such as offering 20% and the rest 80% 50 days before check-in.

  20. Right now, many users add the discounts from the promo codes to existing bookings by adding a negative line item to the lead.
