  1. More control over how the contract gets set up.

    Would like ability to determine the structure of the form:
    -where the contract gets signed
    -where the initials go
    -insert variables to make the contract more detailed

    When contesting a chargeback with a guest, you should be able to show them a contract with terms, and demonstrate that you’re actually due those funds (better success if initials are next to crucial terms).

  3. Add "Short Description" as an available field to be used in Custom Templates.

    The only available property name in the Custom Templates field dropdown is the "Public Name" which is the listing description header. This is often too long or provides marketing language to attract prospects.

  5. Jane from Papagayo Luxury rentals would like a way to share a calendar report with her Concierge staff. The report would include the following:
    - Name of primary contact who is making reservation
    - Availability and blocks on calendars for given properties
    - Number of guests coming
    - This report should not include any financial information

    At the moment, there is no centralized place in the platform where I can see sync issues related to LOS discounts or other pricing-related data. This lack of visibility makes it difficult to know when something is wrong.

    Recently, I encountered two separate sync issues across different listings that I only discovered after manually checking my Airbnb listings. The platform was not pushing LOS discounts correctly, which meant pricing displayed on Airbnb was inaccurate and could have impacted potential bookings and our bottom line.   9. Add a configuration option allowing PMs to choose whether the Security Deposit should always be collected 100% at booking, regardless of the % due at reservation.

    Example:
    If a PM sets “50% due at reservation” and “Security Deposit at booking,” the system should allow collecting 50% of the booking total plus 100% of the Security Deposit in the same initial charge.

  10. I wanted to explain why the ability to schedule messages after booking confirmation is so important for VRBO reservations.

    Because VRBO requires the PMS to act as the merchant of record, all payments are processed through our Stripe account. Stripe’s processing fees are non-refundable, so once a guest’s payment is captured, those fees can’t be returned — unless the property manager absorbs the cost.

    To handle this fairly, my solution is to delay the payment until the guest understands this policy. My plan is:

    When a guest books, they immediately receive a confirmation message explaining the processing-fee policy.

  11. Add DAC7-aligned income/activity export functionality to support users managing EU properties who need to meet local tax transparency reporting regulations.

    Problem / User Need
    Property managers operating within the UK/EU are required to report rental income under DAC7 regulations.
    While platforms like Airbnb and Stripe handle their own reporting as platform operators, PMs must still gather accurate financial data for submissions.

    At the moment, Hostfully does not offer a reporting export tailored for DAC7 needs, making the process more manual and time-consuming for users.

  12. Most properties prefer me to block dates for them, so we as property managers in the main (or principal) user, should be able to block dates and pick the option of owner block so we get the same purple color as when they block.

  14. Property Managers need a way to cancel a booking and release the dates, but keep the original guest financially responsible until the dates are rebooked.

    If the dates are successfully rebooked, the system should allow applying a penalty and refunding the balance directly from the cancelled order.
    If the dates are not rebooked, the original guest remains responsible for the full booking amount.

  15. it would be very helpful because owners that live on site or who have stays for friends and family without charging them still need to pay for cleaning that is required by for the next check-in. Without a custom fee that can be automatically added, I have to go back and manually review the calendar for all of those owner blocks and manually add owner adjustments every time this happens.

  18. Currently, Hostfully only supports adjustments tied to owners and properties. However, many agencies also need to track and reconcile agency-wide expenses that are not connected to a specific property or owner.

    Examples include:

    Hostfully subscription fees

    Inventory purchases used across multiple properties

    Invoices paid directly by the agency (e.g., software, utilities, maintenance contracts)

    Having a way to enter, categorize, and report these agency-level adjustments would provide a more complete financial picture for monthly reconciliation.

  19. Currently, the inbox search on Hostfully only allows searching by guest name or email. It would be incredibly helpful if users could also search by keywords within the conversation history.

    There are many situations where we may not remember a guest’s exact name or email, but we can recall specific words, details, or phrases from the conversation. Being able to search by any keyword written in a message would:

    Greatly improve efficiency in finding past communications
    Save time when retrieving important details

    Thank you Alex. So we are working on adding authentication providers and we'll start with Google first (sometime this month). It's hard to keep track of many features in the same ticket, so let's user this ticket for the Goggle authentication and feel free to open other tickets for the other improvements you suggested.
